Why I Drink Raw Milk

January 15, 2008

Please take the time to watch this informative video.  I happened upon it while visiting Momma’s blog.  Hopefully you won’t look at pasteurized, homogenized milk the same.  It is worth your while to find a source for raw milk.  We have been drinking raw milk for a couple of years now and I have noticed that my asthma problems have all but disappeared.

Check this out and tell me what your thoughts are.

We used to only have raw milk here at home, but, then AZ outlawed it for a while. The when it came back, it is about $8.00 a gallon!!

    Well, geez…

Your health is worth the $8 per gallon cost of real milk. For how much of it you (people) actually use, is it really that big of an expense? It is a bigger expense for us just because we have so many kids. Our monthly milk expense is $120. We could cut back on the milk - but raw milk is so delicious.

I can’t wait to have our own cow.

Thanks for sharing. Where can you get raw milk in Surprise? Does Sprouts carry it?

We pay *gulp* $5.50 a half gallon here. That’s for clean, tested, organic wonderful cows milk delivered to my kitchen counter. I can drive an hour and get raw-for-pet-food-only goats milk for only $3.00 a gallon, but my husband is willing to pay the higher price for the great care Mark at Organic Pastures puts into raising, feeding, pasturing and testing his cows. Go visit there, all you other readers, http://www.organicpastures.com. They can ship the milk frozen. I could also drive to the OP dairy and pick it up for a little cheaper, but time and gas factored in…I’ll get it delivered!

We have a sorce here in central KS as well. All grass-fed raw milk. It is more expensive, (and I can’t get my family to drink it, so we are just using it for cooking right now), but I think it is well worth it. We also buy their chicken and beef, though that is really expensive!!!
