Corin, email me with your address and I will get that gift card out to you. That is, unless you posted the contest on your blog. In that case you will get two. Do you even have a blog? Maybe you can be a guest writer here sometime…
Thank you to the rest of you that entered the contest. I liked reading all of your limericks. We will have to do this again sometime!
There is a poll on my sidebar regarding the next contest I have in mind - Best 80’s Perm.

Congrats Corin! I loved reading everyone’s limericks. I wish I had the gift of the poet. You can ask any one of my english teachers from my school days and they’ll all agree that a poet I am not.
About the next contest, I’d love to see pictures and I would post one if I had one, but I was only 8 in 1989 so I didn’t participate in that particular 80s phenomenon. (My hair is entirely too straight and fine to ever hold a perm anyway.) And I don’t think my mom would appreciate my posting a pic of her with her various 80s dos. :)
Now, for the best Punky Brewster dress alike contest, that one I might be a contender for. HA!

Now, that is a good idea for a contest!
A Punky Brewster Dress-Alike. I like it. I wonder how many of my readers watched Punky Brewster and dressed like her…

Crystal…Thanks!!!!!
I think I have a terrible/best perm picture. It is a bit scary though.
And Crystal, I KNOW I dressed like Punky Brewster one year too!

I used to BEG my parents for a Golden Retriever, just so I could name it Brandon.

Alas, I, too, cannot post a perm picture. My no vote wasn’t due to a lack of willingness, but I have the straightest hair on the planet and cannot even get my eyelashes to curl. I have had friends spend HOURS trying to curl my hair back in the ’80s to make it do the ‘do’, but it never worked. I had about 3 perms that never took…AT ALL. So any pictures of my ’80s dos would be an extreme disappointment.
Punky…I know I dressed like her. But I have no idea if my mom still has pictures of that horrific time of my life :P
