Water Over the Bridge

February 11, 2008

When I went out to the property the other day to meet the "bulldozer guy," I noticed the water was up about a foot or so and flowing over the low water bridge.

The water was only about 4 inches deep on the bridge - safe enough to drive over.

Here’s the view from the other side of the bridge.

A closer look.  Yes, the water really is that blue… due to the high levels of dissolved Limestone.

It was cold, so I let Jenna and John start a fire.

I had to check on the bridge again on the way out.  It’s still there - minus a chunk of concrete that fell off.

Look for more bulldozer pictures tomorrow.

No pictures of the roads??? And you allowed Jenna and John to start a fire by themselves? I guess it is good that we live in MO where nothing burns. :) Looking forward to tomorrow.

What are the lime green letters on the low water bridge?

Will you have to drive over this same bridge to get to your house/property all the time?

Is there ever a danger in it being to high to go over and if so, how often?

    Photos sure are “purty”! :)

The bridge is past our property. The folks on the other side of the bridge can go the other way. It’s a big loop to the highway. During very heavy rains it will flood our camping area but we will know before it happens. :)
