One Year Ago Today
February 14, 2008
This is where we were one year ago today. Jill had just been diagnosed with PleuroPulmonary Blastoma. We weren’t sure if she was going to live. The tumor in her chest was so large that is completely collapsed her left lung; her heart and esophagus were deviated and were both on the right side of her chest. She was on a ventilator.

I remember this evening well. This is when my mom came to visit Jill. I think she truly thought this may be the last time she would see her.

Poor Jillian’s arm. You can see the PICC line and the restraints she had to wear. You can also see the vent and IV tubes

She would kick off her covers when she had a fever.

Nurse Amy.

That was last year.
Last year is over and we have so much to be thankful for.
Today Katie took Jill to get her IV Therapy in Hollister, MO.

It seems like you are waking up from a bad dream, doesn’t it?

Praise God she is SOOOO healthy looking now. No parent should have to endure watching their child be so sick. It breaks my heart that so many do. Jillian is such an amazing, special girl. I know God must have really big plans for her.

I”m just weeping. The photos sure help me understand better where you have come from. What an amazing testimony of His mercy to you all that Jillian is doing well. I”m grateful for/with you. Yea God!
A friend just shared these verses with me (my mom died almost 3 weeks ago) for my encouragement. They seem more like a testimony of truth for you and your family:
Isaiah 43:
1But now, thus says the LORD, your Creator, O Jacob,
And He who formed you, O Israel,
“Do not fear, for I have redeemed you;
I have called you by name; you are Mine!
2″When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;
And through the rivers, they will not overflow you
When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched,
Nor will the flame burn you.
Rejoicing with you that that time is over.
in Christ Alone,

Now I know where I remember your name from!
I’ve been praying for the little punkin ever since I saw a prayer request for her on a ladies forum last year! The Lord is good. Continuing to pray.
